A resident of E 2nd Street reported a theft. The victim stated an unknown individual stole a package from their front steps. The contents of the package were valued at $8.

Emerson James III, 39 of Scotch Plains, was arrested by Off. Budzinski during a call for a suspicious individual for an outstanding warrant out of New Brunswick Municipal Court. James was transported to HQ, processed and turned over to New Brunswick Police.

Joanna Soler, 46 of Scotch Plains, was arrested by Off. Conti during an investigation for Hindering and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Soler also had outstanding warrants out of Plainfield and Middlesex Boro. Soler was transported to HQ, processed and turned over to Plainfield Police.

A business on Park Ave. reported a theft. The owner stated a business vehicle was stolen from the property. Detectives later recovered the vehicle in Morrisville, PA unoccupied. The incident remains under investigation.

A resident of Buttonwood Ln. reported a fraud. The victim stated their Venmo account was compromised and funds had been withdrawn. The victim stated their total loss was $650.

Rebecca Morris, 38 of Minneapolis MN, was arrested by Off. Ricerca for shoplifting $15 worth of merchandise from a Park Ave. business. Morris was transported to HQ, processed and released on a summons with a court date.

A resident of Clinton Ln. reported a fraud. The victim stated an unknown individual created a check utilizing their bank account information and cashed the check for $41,000. The victim is unsure as to how their information was acquired.

Edison May, 33 of Scotch Plains, was arrested by Off. Sopko for Stalking following an investigation. May was transported to HQ, processed and remanded to the Essex County Jail pending a court date.
