James Douglass, a 45-year-old-male, who resides at 11 Lincoln Park Apt 26, Newark, was arrested by Hudson County Sheriffs for an active warrant out of Scotch Plains. Hudson County turned Mr. Douglass over to the Scotch Plains Police Department. Douglass was issued a new court date and released. |

A motor vehicle theft was reported by a patron of the Scotchwood Diner. Taken was a 2007 Ford Explorer. The vehicle was recovered on the 22nd in Hillside. |

A resident on Highlander Dr. reported an attempted break in. At approximately 1:15 am, 2 males dressed in masks and all black attempted to make entry through the front and back doors of the residence. The residents dog scared them off. This is under investigation |

Ryan P. Haggarty, a 31-year-old-male, who resides at 329 Victor St., has been charged with eluding police in connection to a motor vehicle accident. P/O Maldanado responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Park Ave. and Mountain Ave. While investigating, Haggarty pulled up to the intersection at a red light. P/O Maldanado attempted to speak with Haggarty, to which he quickly drove away. P/O Maldanado attempted to catch up but lost sight of the vehicle. Mr. Haggarty was issued summonses. He is also a suspect in hit and run accidents in Plainfield and Elizabeth in the same day. |

The owner of EJ Auto Repair, 1900 Rt. 22 East, reported a burglary. At approximately 1:20 am, a black male forced entry into the business and removed a safe. Detectives have identified a suspect and are actively investigating. |

2 residents of Cedar Grove Terr. Reported the theft of catalytic converters. Both thefts occurred at 3:40 am. Detectives are actively investigating. |
